GST Alert – CGST & IGST Amendment Bills
The Lok Sabha on August 11, 2023 has passed the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (CGST Act) and Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (IGST Act) amendment bills pursuant to the recommendations of the GST Council in 51st meeting held on August 2, 2023. These amendments shall come into force from a date as the Central Government may appoint by a notification in the Official Gazette, after the bill is passed by the Rajya Sabha and assented to by the President.
