Experience

Meetika is a Law graduate and has done her Masters in Commercial Laws from King’s College London. She has an experience of over 14 years in advising clients on Indirect tax implications under Customs, Excise, Service Tax [now Goods and Service Tax], Foreign Trade Policy and Value Added Tax in India. During the span of her career and prior to joining Aurtus, she has been associated with BMR Advisors, Economic Law Practices and Dhruva Advisors in Mumbai. She specializes in advising clients, both multi-national and domestic corporates on complex Indirect Tax issues and structuring. She has advised and assisted clients in managing complicated Departmental investigations and enquiries and the litigation arising therefrom. She has also worked extensively on other indirect tax litigation matters and appeared before various tax authorities / forums in such matters. She has undertaken indirect tax process / system review exercise for multiple manufacturing units and more specifically for clients in logistic industry. In her free time, Meetika loves reading and exploring and traveling to new places.
